Loving More Mission
To educate people about and support polyamory as a valid choice in loving relationships and family lifestyle.
What we believe
Loving relationships and healthy families can come in many beautiful and valid forms. How people choose to experience relationships and love is an individual and personal choice. Through education about polyamory and other relationship or love styles, we hope to allow people the freedom to be open and honest about their personal love and relationship choices, without fear of the prejudice or hardships that being non-traditional can bring. Through education, publicity and research, we intend to open the door to freedom and safety for those who choose polyamory as individuals and as families.
About Loving More Nonprofit
Loving More Magazine started out as PEP Talk Newsletter (Polyamory Education Primer) and in 1994 became Loving More Magazine. It is the oldest magazine in the world dedicated exclusively to responsible multi-partner relationships. The magazine features articles from people who are deeply involved in the polyamorous relationship style and focuses on issues such as jealousy, compersion, communication, family, sexuality and social stigma.
Due to the increasing costs of printing, in 2009 the magazine become Loving More PEP Talk online magazine. The change has allowed us to offer information through articles available free to the public for the first time.
The Loving More Website offers information on polyamory including terminology, FAQ, links, professional listings and is a portal through our links to local, national and international groups/organizations about or related to polyamorous issues.
For over 27 years the Loving More® organization has sponsored annual polyamory conferences, retreats and educational events. These educational efforts have now grown to include two hotel conferences known as Poly Living on the East and West Coasts, the annual Loving More Retreat in upstate New York, and the Loving Choices one-day seminars around the country. Loving More also sponsors classes, workshops, and support groups, and runs an online bookstore.
In addition to the magazine, conferences and website, Loving More Nonprofit works to raise media awareness through press releases and media outreach. We respond to issues in the news, maintain a list of polyamorous people willing to talk to the press, and are available for interviews answering questions from the press on an ongoing basis.
Our Executive Director Robyn Trask maintains a regular schedule and is available by phone during business hours. Robyn is there to answer questions of reporters, find speakers, and help individuals with their questions and concerns about polyamory. She is also available to individuals and families for polyamory counseling with a sliding-scale fee.
The year 2013 ushers in a new chapter for Loving More Nonprofit. We will launch an exciting new project, Loving More Chapter Groups. Chapter Groups are a way to build and support local polyamory communities with education, literature and information, and to offer a consistent support system for people needing polyamory support and information. We hope to facilitate cohesion and cooperation from a local to a national level.
